Blacklisted online casinos are those that fail to provide players with an adequate online gambling experience. Instead of providing players with a fun and memorable time, complaint after complaint is levelled against the site for some or other terrible reason. This could include anything from withholding winnings for no reason, to simply providing players with a buggy gaming experience where games consistently crash. For whatever reason, these rogue casinos aren’t good to play at. Below we have a look at how we build our blacklisted casinos list and whether or not it is possible to get off this list and become a safe online casino site again.
Before we get into how casinos get added to our blacklist, it is important to note that every casino site uses a different criterion when identifying rogue casinos. This means that not all sites will have the same gambling sites on their online casino blacklist. That stated, it is pretty tough to avoid adding casinos to your list that have blatantly wronged a player.
When adding a casino to our blacklist, we look at whether the site in question has committed any of the following offences:
Slow Payment: rogue or untrustworthy casinos take long to pay players. This may be anything from a few weeks to a few months after requesting a payout. At times, this is even if the casino decides to pay you at all. (All this stated, it is also important not to confuse slow payments with standard withdrawal times.)
Unfair Games – these are casinos that offer players the chance to play games that are not random at all. In fact, scam casinos will rig their games to make sure that players never win when playing for real money. Alternatively, when gamblers are playing for free, they’ll ensure that games pay out in abundance.
Bad Advertising – some casinos won’t indicate all the necessary requirement players need to meet in order to qualify for a bonus. For example, you may never get a welcome bonus because of your banking method, however, you were not made aware of that.
Spam – nobody wants to get constant emails or text messages about new bonuses or promotions. While sending out a newsletter may be fair game, sending one every two hours isn’t.
Poor Terms and Conditions – some casinos will offer you wonderful bonuses, but will add ridiculous wagering requirements to them that make them unworthwhile.
Do We Un-Blacklist Casino Sites?
Once we review a casino, we consistently go back and put it through the motions. By doing this, we get to see whether or not it still lives up to the review we gave it. Most of the times casinos do, but there are times when some sites change for the better or worse (meaning that casinos can become safe or unsafe.) This may be due to a change in management/parent company, or even financial difficulties.
Whatever the reason, sometimes player experience at a particular site changes. As a result of this, our casino review will need to change to give a reflection of its current state. This could mean giving a former five-star casino a one-star rating, or vice-versa, depending on the circumstances.
Just know that we are always analysing American casinos to make sure that we recommend the best to our players.
