Walkthrough

Classic blackjack is pretty easy to follow. Overall, it’s a pretty short game, which is why it is possible to play so many in quick succession. Here is a quick walkthrough of your average game:

  1. Every hand starts with a bet.
  2. You and the dealer will then get two cards.
  3. After determining the value of your hand, you will have four options:
    • Hit – get another card.
    • Double down – increase the bet on your hand and get another card.
    • Split – split to equal value cards into two hands.
    • Stand – stick with the cards you were initially dealt.
  4. After you have decided how to respond, and provided you haven’t gone bust, the dealer will decide how to respond.
  5. The player with the hand closest to 21 without going over wins the round.
